Howdy Folks!
A number of months ago I was approached by the Matthew Shepard Foundation to do an interview for their new website, Matthews Place, which is a LGBTQQI youth "to go" for resources. They wanted me to come up with questions that youth would want to know the answers of.
I came up with a list of questions I thought would be interesting. However, at The Center we have a youth services program which oversees Rainbow Alley, the only safe zone drop in space in Denver. I went back to the Alley and talked to a bunch of youth. Their questions WERE NOT even close to mine. So I used a lot of theirs and did this interview.

- Hailing from the town of New Paltz, NY – Ryan moved to Denver, CO in September of 2005 to attend Johnson & Wales University. Ryan is working on his education degree in the area of Family & Consumer Sciences and wants to focus on secondary education. Ryan served as the Student Body President for the university during from 2007-2008. His passion for education started while serving as a student representative on the Board of Education for New Paltz Central School District. Working in the restaurant industry for over 6 years, his positions have included prep cook, short order cook, line cook, waiter, banquet server and catering captain. Ryan currently works in non-profit development, has been published in various forms of media, and is looking forward to starting to student teach in the fall.
